For those in Headspace, there's always Mari on her picnic blanket to give you a clue about what to do next. Side quests in Headspace are often available to complete at any time, as long as you have unlocked or discovered new areas throughout your adventure, while those in Faraway Town take place in stages over the three days and are harder to track. However, the two regions of the game work differently. There are side quests in both Headspace and Faraway Town. While not essential to the main quest line, completing them adds to the overall impression your actions make on the game world, and the endings you can receive.

As in those games, it is also full of easy-to-miss hidden content, a lot of which can be found on optional side quests throughout.
